The DR Horton Range Hood Microwave did not come with a vent out the roof. So I had to install one.
NOTE - I have since been informed that flexible ducting is not up to code. Use rigid ducting! I have since swapped out the ducting for rigid ducting
The parts I used were a stack hood (3.25 x 10) offset transitioning into a 6" round duct, and two 6" round ducts 8' long. Also a couple of 6" pipe connectors, ducting tape, and some loctite multi purpose sealing foam. Parts cost was about $80.
I paid a roof guy $150 for the installation of the louver vent in the roof. I didn't feel comfortable cutting a hole in my roof, and I'm pretty sure it would have voided the 10 year warranty on my brand new house... so I had the DR Horton roof guy do it instead!
