This week I set up some rain water harvesting so I'll be able to have off-grid water for my future vegetable garden! (As usual, it wasn't without challenges and it took twice as long as anticipated!)

Thank you for following along as I set out on my journey to breathe life into my old cottage and build a back yard homestead in rural North East Scotland. I'm collecting questions for an upcoming Q&A video to celebrate 25k subscribers - if you have any questions about the cottage / me / my life in Scotland, leave them in the comments!

MY STORY:
I've been stuck in rut for the past couple of years - both my parents passed away at the end of 2022 and since then I've been navigating grief, burnout and just being scared to make a change. I decided that 2024 was going to be the year I set my life on fire, because life is too short to spend all of it wondering just what the point is. So I quit my job, sold my house in the suburbs and bought a 150yr old cottage in the middle of the Scottish countryside. Follow along as I attempt to renovate this little stone house, build a backyard homestead and hopefully fall in love with life, all over again.
Spoiler alert - I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing, so almost anything could happen
