Dear viewer,

In this video I am showing you how to reset and clear the Service Interval Reminder notification that annoyingly beeps at you every time you go to start the vehicle when an inspection is due. This is particularly helpful if you have serviced the car yourself and want to reset it or a repair shop ahs forgotten to do so after you have brought your car in for an oil change.

On older vehicles 2004-2008 (pre-facelift) models you will need to use VCDS in order to perform the reset. There is just no other way around it. It is just how these vehicles were designed. However, Audi must have realized what an inconvenience that might be and on newer vehicles, namely the facelift A6 (2008-2011) you can also perform the reset quite easily through the MMI. All you need to do is navigate to the Service menu, as I show in the video and you will have the option to perform the Service Interval Reset (SRI) by selecting the appropriate option.

As usual, if you have any questions please post them in the comment section below and we will do our best to answer them. Don't forget to like the video if you found it helpful and subscribe if you would like to see more videos like this.
