First off, this thing looks goofy but I like that goofy look, especially since this is on an unfolder. It gives you really more than enough MLOK and 12 o'clock picatinny rail sections to mount hand stops, foregrips, bipods, lights, switches, MFALs/LAMs, pointers, and place thermal clip-ons or even CNVDs in front of your optic.

You can also use it to forward mount the optic as well just a bit forward of the rear sight block. As usual, I did not use a script and did this off-cuff so I didn't actually talk about the very basic features of it. It is also very heavy compared to other options at 1.7 pounds, it's a white-labelled UTG Pro but remains the only extended length option at the $220-250 price point, others start in the low $300s for handguard sets and go up from there.

I did a very abbreviated history of the Yugo-pattern AK and why parts compatibility can be a bit difficult given the 1.5mm receiver and some unique journals on the barrel. ‪@m26_lemon_grenade55‬ also goes into similar reasons to not get the ZPAP in his own videos and on a ‪@KLAYCO47‬ stream he did. I'd highly recommend following both of those dudes, they're far more knowledgeable on the AK platform than I am.
