Chandernahan is the origin of Pabbar River and considered a trekker’s paradise, Chandranahan is relatively unexplored.

Well, in this episode we will take you on a journey from Janglik Village to Dayara Thach.
(The word "thach" in the pahadi language of Himachal means a meadow- a large plane area in hilly areas where goats and other animals use it for grazing.)



Janglik village is the starting point of Chandernahan Trek which is around 148 km from SHIMLA. It is stuated in the Chauhara Valley of district Shimla. The nearest major location from Janglik is ROHRU, that to be is 40 km. You can reach Janglik in your car but ony if your car is 4X4 otherwise you can park your car in the Tangnu village which comes before Janglik and its because after Tangnu the road is not suitable for ordinary cars even if you are coming through a bus the last stop of bus is Tangnu Village after which you have to walk towards Janglik or you can take a lift till Janglik in the Local's Pickup.

Once you Stepped in Janglik Village you can feel the old village vibes. The wooden carved houses elevates the beauty of this village even more. And from here your journey to pardise begins i.e Chandernahan.

The trek unwinds through the thick forests, beautiful meadows, and grassy land ascents. The first stop after Janglik comes at Tharanchu Thach where you can rest for a little bit and than as you moves forward you will witnessed the landscapes similar to Switzerland and Alps( if not similar something closer). Walking through a mountain range and undulated meadows will level up your adrenaline rush.

After Tharanchu Thach there comes a place known as Simar Thach, where the locals have their own stalls where you can eat Pahado wali Maggi and drink Tea which will energize you again. And you can enjoy views this place offers while eating.
As you move forwards, you have to pass rocky terrains, dense forest before reaching DAYARA THACH.

A magnificent view of meadows with a pure blend of picturesque snow-capped mountains in the backdrop. This is Dayara Thach, here you can hear the thundering of the water streams and witness the snow-capped mountains.
Being a moderate trek, it takes around 5-6 hours to reach Dayara Thach.
So, the journey of the first day of trek ends here, just pitch your tent and enjoy the beauty of this place.
