It's been a while. cough cough two years cough
So, I just started my freshman year at Ringling and thought I'd go ahead and share with you guys some of my first projects. This is my title sequence for the movie of my choice, so I chose Drive and stuck to a strict color palette. This is my project statement:

Drive (2011) is a film with a dark, pulsing mood and tells the tale of a stunt driver by day, getaway driver by night who falls in love, resulting in a descent to inescapable violence. I focused my palette on a more stylized version of the movie’s own palette. I used black to emphasize the solitary, empty nature of Driver’s state, pink to echo the color used for the movie’s original title sequence font color and movie title color, and white as the accent in order to censor violence in an interesting way. I chose a graphic art style to portray key elements found within the movie as well as the characters themselves. I wanted to capture the mood of a city at night, though the more lonely version which seems to accompany Driver.
