Hey Guys,

In today's video Emma is presenting you a 1985 Trabant 601 tudor limousine, that looks as if it has just left the factory in Zwickau!

Its current owner got the inspiration for the purchase when he retired and started having nostalgic memories of his first car, a Trabant, that looked just like the one he owns now!

Mr Peter Vincze told us, that his wife and him were lucky enough to buy their new car only after 2 years of waiting. They wished for one with the rare yellow paintjob, and to their fortune, on the day of the purchase, almost all of the new Trabis were lemon coloured 🍋.

After leaving the plant of MERKÚR, the state owned company that was responsible for the distribution of new cars (regardless of brand) in Communist Hungary, he instantly had some issues with his first-ever new car, as he's never driven a Trabant before.

As for his current puffer, he only had to do minor restauration works, what's more, even the '85er's paint is original! Since then, the engine's run 2,000 kms (1,242.7 miles), while the car has 52,000 kms (32,311.3 miles) on its odometer since new!

If you also like Trabis, or want to find out why Mr Vincze called for a 'smog alarm' upon the starting of his old Trabant, check out our video!

Of course, apart from the 2 dr limousines, 3 dr wagons, dubbed the 'Universal', were also produced. If you're curious to see one, click on the link below and see the one we filmed! 🎥 🚗
