Talk given by Dr. Hooshmand Badee on July 13, 2024
Dr. Hooshmand Badee is an academic economist, writer, and researcher with more than 30 years of experience in higher education teaching. He is an advocate of “ethical economics”; his Doctorate research was on “Bahá’í Economics”. He is the author of several books, including two recent publications: the revised edition of “Economics and the Bahá’í Faith; and “Towards a Sustainable Economic Life”, available from Amazon and all public bookstores. He is working on a new title called “The Economic Doctrines of Abdu'l-Bahá in the Secret of Divine Civilization.” He authored the chapter “Bahá’í Economic Ethics” in a recent Oxford University publication “Religion and Economic Ethics.” Hooshmand has presented several papers about economics and related subjects at international academic and non-academic conferences.
Hooshmand is a Canadian citizen born in Iran, currently living in Scotland. he is serving as a faculty member and lecturer at the Bahá’í Institute for Higher Education (BIHE) in Iran. He founded a “Bahá’í-Inspired Enterprise Development”, aimed to help refugees coming to the UK.
