Here is one of several Ischia Black fig trees we are growing. This variety is traditionally known for low vigor (which might be preferred for growing in containers) probably due to Fig Mosaic Virus, but we've grafted ours onto Brown Turkey and they grow well for us. This variety still shows symptoms of FMV but some do not. We've seen good growth ad productivity despite the FMV. This is a variety with a fairly intense berry flavor and it is very much worth growing.

We will have cuttings of this variety offered for sale again in January.
