We had a wedding to go to in Ireland, so we decided to make a road trip out of it. This is our 10-day road trip around Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Day 1: I flew from London Heathrow to Dublin and picked up our rental car before Andrew's flight arrived. We drove from Dublin airport to Glenlo Abbey just outside of Galway. We checked in then rushed to our dinner reservation at Pullman's restaurant on two of the original train cars from the Orient Express.

Day 2: We had breakfast at Glenlo Abbey early then headed into Galway to explore. We got coffee at Coffee Werk, then walked the Latin Quarter and the quays. We drove to the Cliffs of Moher and stopped at some castle ruins. After exploring the Cliffs of Moher and the visitor centre, we drove to Limerick, got dinner at Curragower, then sheltered from the rain in Katie Daly's with an Irish Coffee and Sticky Toffee Pudding.

Day 3: We drove from Limerick to Dingle with some stunning views. We got coffee at Bean in Dingle, browsed the cute shops, and got lunch at a pub. We then started the drive around the Ring of Kerry then to the tragic Eccles Hotel.

Day 4: We left the twilight zone of Eccles Hotel and drove into Cork. We got coffee at Alchemy, walked through the English Market, and got Lunch before heading to Castlemartyr. We met Andrew's mom at Castlemartyr and explored the grounds then had the chef's dinner at Canopy.

Day 5: We drove to the wedding at Ballybeg and rang in the new year.

Day 6: We drove all the way north to Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland. We ended up hiking back from the Giant's Causeway in the dark, then got dinner at O'Connor's pub in Ballycastle before heading to our air bnb. We did a whole tour of the air bnb exploring the reading room and decor.

Day 7: We drove into Belfast and got brunch at the Neighbourhood, toured the Cathedral, and did the Titanic museum. Andrew and I got drinks at the Duke of York then had baby Guinnesses and dinner at Nancy's.

Day 8: We drove from Belfast to Dublin to drop the rental car back, then headed to the Clarence Hotel. Andrew and I did the Guinness Storehouse, had Irish Potato Cakes, and got dinner at the Church Cafe with traditional Irish dancing and music all evening.

Day 9: It was Andrew's mom's birthday! We got breakfast at Two Pups, explored St.Patrick's Cathedral, walked through Trinity College, walked down Grafton Street and saw the buskers, found the Viking ruins in Lidl, got afternoon tea at the Westbury, did the State Apartments at Dublin Castle, and had dinner at the Old Mill.

Day 10: We headed to Dublin airport for our flights home. I got back and gave Harley her present of the Clarence Hotel slippers.
