This episode takes place in 2006, in Ndutu, in the southern part of Tanzania’s Serengeti Plain. Here the film crew encounters two male cheetahs, not related by blood. Although male cheetahs typically hunt alone, small teams like this one are not unknown. Instead of the gazelles and other small prey normally favored by their kind, these two specialize in hunting large wildebeest weighing up to 200 kg. Working as a team, they hunt with brilliant success. Nevertheless, out on the savannah, where life is unpredictable and only the fittest survive, they meet with many setbacks.
Featuring an intriguing finale, this is a compelling study of the lives of male cheetahs.
