Decided to do some largemouth bass fishing at Lake Bastrop in Bastrop, Texas. The lake is a nice one and they have a lot of bass here. I’ve never been here during March so it presented its challenges but managed to figure out where the fishes were and what they were hitting. I found the fish at 9-12 feet of water. I tried crank bait and jerk baits but that did not work. The fish were a bit more finicky. They wanted the drop shot with a swim bait and the wacky rig.
