"How did SRV set his Tube Screamer?"

Must be a question I get asked constantly.

Truly, the real "SRV TONE SECRET", is right there in the amp....
Granted, we don't get the chance to crank the Fender Amps up to 7 a lot, but when you do, it all makes sense.

The real secret, is finding the balance in the EQ, and getting that Blackface to slightly clip, all while staying tight and clear

Add a tube screamer on top, set as a clean boost, and you have a similar setup to how he was using his rig!
