Course Description, ELED 1302 Philosophy of Education

The Philosophy of Education course will allow students to learn about several philosophies from secular and Christian perspectives. Students will learn classroom techniques to use as they develop their own philosophy. Students will have an opportunity to develop and present their own philosophy. Techniques and engagement strategies will be presented and critiqued by students. The course requires students to participate in ten hours of observation time in an effective classroom. Final presentations will incorporate technology, learning, philosophy, and oral presentations. ESOL strategies will be embedded in coursework.
