“This country needs a leader with empathy.”

Ilford North candidate Leanne Mohamad tells @el.sayyed if she has a chance to confront Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer in parliament, she’d grill him about turning the party away from its values and morality.

The 23-year-old Palestinian activist is hoping to unseat Labour’s shadow health minister Wes Streeting in the East London electorate - a man widely considered to be a future leader of the party.
