In 1979, Honest John Plain of The Boys joined forces with Pete Stride in The Lurkers for a few months, contributing his guitar skills to their sound. Plain's involvement included recording a couple of BBC Sessions and co-writing, as well as playing on, The Lurkers' UK hit single "New Guitar In Town." This collaboration led to the recording of an album with Pete Stride at Rockfield Studios, released on Beggars Banquet in June 1980 under the title "New Guitars in Town."
This new promo video is produced by Steve Green of Green Square from archive footage and photos of Stride / Plain and the "New Guitars".
