The third week of our first year Diploma is all about soldering, and covers the different types of joins you can expect to use to create jewellery.

Our students are given a number of projects to help hone their skills, using base metals like brass and copper to practice.

In this week’s Diploma Diary entry Kelly offers a few of her own favourite soldering tips, including a useful adaptation of the ‘third hand’ and a quick way to clean your soldering surface.
