Cake batter
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 3/4 cups granulated sugar 350 grams
1/2 cup dutch process cocoa (make sure you get QUALITY cocoa, it will make the difference )
1/4 cup black cocoa (you don't have to do this and just do 3/4 cup cocoa
1 teaspoon baking powder 
2 teaspoons baking soda 
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup sour cream 
3/4 cup canola oil 
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla 
3/4 cup hot coffee


Icing
1 cup heavy cream
6 ounces unsweetened baking chocolate
3 cups confectioners' sugar
6 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
1 teaspoon vanilla
