☆ Ανάμεσα στα δημοτικά διαμερίσματα
της Ανθούσας και της Αγιάς, σε ύψωμα,
δεσπόζει το κάστρο του Αλή Πασά.
Χτίστηκε το 1814 από τον Αλή Πασά των
Ιωαννίνων με σκοπό να ελέγχει και να πολιορκεί από εκεί την ανυπότακτη Πάργα. Αρχιτέκτονας του κάστρου ήταν ο
Ιταλός Don Santo di Monteleone.
Το κάστρο δεν χρησίμευσε ιδιαίτερα,
αφού την ίδια χρονιά, το 1814, οι Εγγλέζοι έγιναν κυρίαρχοι των Επτανήσων.
Αυτή η αλλαγή αποθάρρυνε οποιαδήποτε επιθετική πρωτοβουλία του Αλή Πασά, ο οποίος το 1819 αγόρασε την Πάργα από τους Βρετανούς έναντι 150.000 λιρών.

To 1816 το κάστρο παρουσίασε
στατικά προβλήματα με κίνδυνο κατάρρευσης, για αυτό έγιναν
εργασίες ενίσχυσης και στήριξης της κατασκευής. Τότε θεωρείται πως πήρε την τελική του μορφή.

Ο ψηλός και επιβλητικός ορθογώνιος πύργος, βρίσκεται στην ανατολική πλευρά του φρουρίου, ακριβώς απέναντι από το κάστρο της Πάργας, από το οποίο η απόσταση είναι 3χλμ .

Οι εξωτερικές διαστάσεις του πύργου
είναι 15 επί 25μ, ενώ αγγίζει σε ύψος τα 15μ. Το υπόλοιπο οχυρό έχει ύψος,
περίπου 10μ. και αποτελείται από
ισχυρό οχυρωματικό περίβολο βόρεια και νότια.

Η είσοδος βρίσκεται στη δυτική πλευρά προς την Αγιά. Αυτή η πλευρά έχει ύψος 5,4μ και προστατεύεται από
2 γωνιακούς κυκλικούς πύργους, που προεξέχουν 3μ. από το τείχος.

Σήμερα το κάστρο είναι σε καλή κατάσταση και διασώζεται μεγάλο μέρος του. Φαντασμαγορική η
θέα του τη νύχτα όταν φωτίζεται.☆

☆Among the municipal apartments of Anthousa and Agia, on a hill, dominates the castle of Ali Pasha. The tall and imposing rectangular tower, located on the east side of the fort, directly opposite the castle of Parga,  from which the distance is 3 km. The external dimensions of the tower it is 15 by 25m, while it reaches a height of 15m. The rest of the fort is high, about 10 m. and consists of strong fortified enclosure north and south.

The entrance is on the west side towards Agia.
This side is 5.4m high and is protected by 2 corner circular towers,
projecting 3m. from the wall.

Today the castle is in good condition and is preserved much of it.
Spectacular the view at night when it is illuminated.☆
