VENDAKKA THAALI
Ingredients
1. Ladies finger (pieced 1” long) 10-15
2. Big onion 2 nos
3. Tomato julienned 1 cup
4. Salt to taste
5. Tamarind juice (opt) 4-5 drops
6. Oil 2 tbsp
7. Khuskhus 1 tsp
8. Curry leaves plenty
9. Sugar (opt) 2 big pinch
10. Coconut milk from 2 cups of coconut ½ cup+ 1 ½ cups
Masala
1. Red chilli 10-12
2. Coriander seeds 2 tbsp
Preparation
1. . Fry the masala ingredients till crisp , Powder , set aside.
2. Sauté onion , ladies finger,& tomato in oil well , boil adding water salt and the powdered masala till done (8-10 minutes).
3. Add the tamarind juice, boil, add the second extract of coconut milk and the ground khuskhus, boil ,put off the flame .
4. Add the first extract of the coconut(½ cup), garnish with squeezed curry leaves and the sugar and swirl,set aside
