Hello,
here is my 2023 fall video, featuring my annual fall portrait as well as a poem I wrote. It was written as a reflection answering this statement:
"I don't want to die before...".

It was written in French and I recorded it in french for the video.
I thought some of you may want to know what it was about so I tried to translate it... It was really difficult to make an accurate translation, I seriously lack the subtleties of the English language.

But I tried anyway and here is what I came up with:

"As shadows grow and words shorten.
Dusky spirits dance in silence.
Slumbering trees, flying leaves.
May my muses turn to clouds and be swept by the wind.

There will come a day, more of less far away
When I’ll take my last breath.
I’ll slumber in your embrace
And oblivion will cover my mind.

But not today, nor tomorrow.

Not before I’m left breathless by this world,
My wanderings turn vain
Happiness crushing me down.

Not before walking a thousand paths
assiduously scratching my feet over them
Letting my eyes turn blind through the prism
of a 1000 beauties they would have touch.

When the soil of my soul will be fully worn out
When an army of plants will have prospered over it
When I will have stumble a hundred times
And stood up right after each and every single times

Abandoned to your embrace and overflowing with your breath on my skin,
Finally, I will doze off. Without hope of awakening.

But not today, nor tomorrow."
