Made the decision to FINALLY record a Quad Cities Nuclear Power Plant Tempest for once since their system has no Siren test recordings yet. This T-128 is located at the Y junction of Cherry St and Walnut St in Port Byron. This unit is special as it is the lowest siren in any Exelon System in Illinois, and that it was mounted on the same pole the STH-10 it replace sat on. This unit was installed sometime in 2010 and it directly and indirectly replace 2 STH-10's. QCNPP has 2 separate siren systems. One for the Iowa side and the other for the Illinois side. Illinois side does 1-2 min of alert while the Iowa side dose 2-3 min of alert.
