Thyron Van Vurren (Taz) rode Voltron Evo in the eFXC series at Queensland Raceway for round 5 of the FX-Superbikes, October 28-30 2016. There were only two entries for electric bikes this round, so the organsers put us in with the pro-twins and naked bike class - a rag-tag bunch of bikes ranging from Aprilias, KTMs, FZRs, Ducatis and a Vincent 1600. This is onboard footage of race 5 (Sunday Race 2) where Taz set a new electric lap record of 1:15.6. 600s are pulling 1:12s around here, so we're pretty impressed with these times. As Voltron was racing with a 6 kWh battery we had to pull in after 4 race laps, but the future of motorsports is blindingly obvious. Check out the wheelie down the start/finish straight :)
