Unboxing and initial review of the Avado i7 crypto staking node device. So rad!

Can be used forethereum (ETH) and some other POS blockchains

After going through the setup, I can confirm that this is not for the beginner or the novice. The hardware part is easy. But, for the setup and configuration, you need to have moderate capabilities with computers as well as moderate familiarity and experience with crypto technology, wallets etc.

Suggest you invest in a quality surge protection device.

Your main resources are going to be the Avado documentation website pages as well as the ethereum.org website and their official LaunchPad site. Both of these will further recommend other resources.

Once it is up and running, it is pretty smooth sailing to monitor and maintain. There is a remote access capability through a VPN so that you can access the device securely anywhere from a specified computer or mobile device.

To be clear, this is not a mining machine or mining device. This is used for proof of stake (POS) networks. So, although it is required to be on at all times, the electricity used would be comparable probably to a laptop or desktop pc.

This device contains a two terabyte solid state drive as well as several processing units. There is no internal fan, as under normal operation, it would not be required.

As noted and pointed out in the instructions, when you first sync to a chain, it will run at maximum capacity for maybe up to several days and so they recommend you definitely use an external fan during this time as the unit can get hot although later on in normal usage, this is not the expectation.
