Happy Holidays guys, from DBG.
This video shows some of the rarest Aluminum Ford 351 Cleveland parts. Big shoutout to jay Cushman who provided pictures, and also George Bastiras, who owns the A3 headed alumuminum 351 Cleveland engine in the beginning. Its starts out with a All aluminum Cleveland engine, with Aluminum A3 heads. It features a 4.125 bore, and 3.250 stroke for 347ci. Ford crank, Childs and Albert aluminum rods, Jack Roush Intake, and roller cam. this is an old pro stock motor. It wa for sale, never found out if it sold. These aluminum Cleveland blocks were made in 1968, not sure how many were made. Love to dyno that gem,and see what she makes. The next aluminum ford 351 Cleveland block was one that was offered to me years ago. The guy lived in England. It is the same 1968 block, these aluminum Cleveland blocks also had provisions for extra head bolt. very cool option back then. This engine had then drilled and tapped. You can see it was blown up one or more time, and put back together. From the look at the repair, had to affect the structural integrity for sure. What do you think?
The next vids feature aluminum ford 351 Cleveland heads, that were actually converted to high ports. Almost wonder why they did not cast them, like the A3, with raised exhaust ports. The intake ports look like they may been modeled after the first 351 Cleveland heads, that were really Boss 302 style heads. Set up for Windsor style block. The se iron heads, did have a somewhat smaller intake port. These are wicked pieces of history. These are owned by jay Cushman.
The next set of heads are totally off the chart. A set of Tunnel Port Ford 351 Cleveland heads. These heads I believe were made for circle track. I know that Jay built an engine with them, and it was outlawed the first race, if I remember correctly. You can see he has a few sets still in the box. Wonder how the tunnel port, and Siamese exhaust ports flow, and with some porting.

The last set of heads are Ford 351Cleveland A4 heads. The A4 heads featured here are owned by Jimmy Huff. He built a pretty bad 336ci, Clevor using these heads, 14:1 Cr and a big roller cam. It was topped off by a tunnel ram, and two Holley 4 BBL carbs. She sounds pretty nasty, and Hooked to a jerico 4 speed, better hang the hell on. If you look at the heads the top is filled with weld to reinforce the rocker pad, spring pad, and intake port. This allowed for strength, prevent, prevent valve train deflection, and increase intake port height, for better flow.
When Ford started to make the Motorsport aluminum heads, the first ones were the A3s. The early aluminum Ford 351 Cleveland Motorsport heads, were labeled in phases. The differences were port size, and combustion chamber design. A3 were in the Phase I, these had the largest intake ports. Then there was a phase I 1/2, which may be the A4, not much info about these. Then there was a phase 1 3/4, that were known as the B351heads. The last was phase III, these were your C302/B/D302. These were the last heads made before the C3 Yates designed heads came out. Appreciate you guys watching, and learning something new at DBG. Stay tuned.
