The term used, “Ngilu”, was the word used by my student to describe how it felt like to get a swab test. The word means ‘painful’, but it is a different kind of pain - more of a ticklish pain. Some say getting a swab test is more ticklish than painful, some say it’s more painful than ticklish - or anything in between the two.

They got a nasopharyngeal swab - it is a method for collecting a clinical test sample of nasal secretions from the back of the nose and throat. The sample is then analyzed for the presence of Covid-19 virus.

After the screening, all students were tested NEGATIVE. Alhamdulillah.
