A perfect number is a natural number such that the sum of its positive divisors, excluding itself, is equal to itself.
For example, if you add the divisors of 6 excluding 6 itself, you get 1+2+3=6, which is equal to itself. Therefore, 6 can be said to be a perfect number.
In this video, we will prove that Mersenne primes have a one-to-one correspondence with even perfect numbers.
