A few thoughts on different carving axes, the ones i use and their pro's and cons.

I use all three of these regularly and find that all of them perform very well but personal preference will dictate what works best for you.

I should also add that all three of these are perfectly capable of being the only carving axe you need to do pretty much any carving work I can think of but, like most of my tools, I tend to accumulate slightly different versions that I like to try.
