Indians attempting to reach the US illegally have reportedly frozen to death, drowned and been kidnapped by gangs of people smugglers.

Indians are now the third largest group of illegal migrants to America - and the number of those willing to risk their lives in their desperate quest is growing.

Last year, the US Border Protection Agency, apprehended 96,917 Indians - a number that has tripled in just two years - and these are just the ones who got caught.
