With the right support it’s never too late to get a job in open employment.

This film features people with intellectual disability of different ages talking about working in open employment, what it means to them and the support they have had.

Key messages include getting the DSP while working, using a disability employment service to find a job that's right for you and using NDIS funding to build work skills and find and keep a job.

This short film is the fourth in a series of 4 short films featuring people with intellectual disability and their families talking about the things that have helped them find and keep a job in open employment.

Each film focuses on things people can do at different stages in life.
• Film 1 is about things families can do when their children are still young that will help them get into open employment later in life    • Everyone Can Work - Film 1 - Starting...
• Film 2 is about getting work experience and other things families can do in high school    • Everyone Can Work - Film 2 - Getting ...
• Film 3 is about different pathways people can take after school into their first job    • Everyone Can Work - Film 3 - Getting ...

These short films were produced as part of the Everyone Can Work website, a project of Inclusion Australia, the national voice of people with intellectual disability.

The website brings together information about Australian Government employment supports, the lived experience of families and people with intellectual disability, and current research about employment for people with intellectual disability in Australia.

The website and these films were funded by a grant through the NDIS Information Linkages and Capacity Building (ILC) program.
