Wow! I have no front cab corner left on my rusty classic C-10!

This classic truck has so much rust in the front cowl area I couldn't believe it! Most people will turn this over to a shop or look for a different cab but I'm here to tell you it's definitely doable in your home DIY garage. The most important thing to note about metal working is measurements. Make sure you take a ton of them. The more answers you have at the beginning of the build the less questions you will have at the end.

I feel like I didn't have many choices when it came to this classic Chevy. I was originally going to install a SBC with a Muncie M-20 4-Speed but once I uncovered that the cowl was held on by Painters Mesh, Tar, Great Stuff and Broken Hopes and Dreams I knew it needed to be fixed.

I was lucky enough to find a donor cowl at a local junkyard. If that's an option for you make sure you watch this video on how to get a donor part from your local junkyard.    • How to replace a Cowl Panel on a 1971...
