Durga Puja is not only widely celebrated in India, but the festival is also a highly important event in the global Indian communities.
We visited Vedanta Centre of Melbourne on the occasion of MAHA ASHTAMI of DURGA PUJA. The chanting of Durga maa mantras filled our soul with peace and serenity. After the pushpanjali we were served Durga Puja Bhog. The arrangements done by Ramakrishna mission’s Vendanta Centre of Melbourne were mesmerising.

There was another puja we visited which was organised by Bengali Association of Victoria. We were bit late to reach there but were able to attend Sindoor Khela, famous amongst Indian Bengali women.
