In this video, we talk about a little bit of the history of the PCV System and what it's job is as an emission control system.

The PCV System is used to remove Blowby Gasses from the crankcase in order to prevent them from reacting with the oil to create sludge and prevent them from condensing in the oil and diluting it. The systems have to be sealed and flow into the intake because venting it to the atmosphere would be a huge hydrocarbon emissions issue.
