TEP MONOROM (Dance of the Heavenly Gods and Goddesses for Happiness)
Created in the 1950's at Phnom Penh's royal palace, Tep Monorom (Heavenly Bliss) is a Cambodian classical dance depicting matching pairs of gods and goddesses moving in unison in order to express that the heavens are in harmony. When all is well in heavens, rains come on time and the land is fertile, bringing prosperity to the people.
Performed by Phousita Huy & Piseth Pilika (lead), Sathya Sam & Masady Meas, last two dancers are Sophiline Cheam Shapiro & Rachana Khieu
