DAY 1 of 5 Oregon Coast Rock Fishing, Lingcod Fishing / Rock Fishing from the rocks, jetty, and cliffs in search of my first lingcod from shore. Day 1 turned into nonstop action as I managed to come up with 5 Lingcod, most being keepers.
Although the limit is 2 Lingcod per day, I was sleeping out of my SUV and was by myself, so keeping multiple fish wasn't necessary, so it turned into an absolute epic day of catch and release fishing.

This was my first trip to the Oregon Coast to target Lingcod specifically. I have fished Barview jetty, Newport Jetty and from the surf a million times, but fishing from the rocks and cliffs was new to me.
Within the first hour of being at my first location for day one, I was already landing multiple Lingcod and a plethora of Black Bass, mainly fishing swimbaits and jigs.

Don't miss the series! Day 2 turns into a lingcod catch and cook and the fun just continues as the trip progresses, with 11-13 Lingcod caught in the first 3 days.
Day 4 is more fishing and a GIANT Mussels Catch and Cook. These were the biggest mussels I have ever seen!
