1st-Team All-American tailback, 2nd in the Heisman voting in 1994

This is probably one of the most impressive single-season highlight films you'll ever watch. Not just because of Carter's running ability (which was exceptional), but also because of the blocking execution of the offensive line Carter ran behind. The combination of Ki-Jana Carter and the seven athletes paving the way for him, makes for one of the smoothest and easy-to-watch running games I've ever witnessed. (For the record, I've watched all kinds of college football throughout my entire adult life.)

On to Carter as an individual; He was a dominant runner who possessed top-end speed, superior vision and patience, great agility, a strong lower body to produce power, and the instincts to know when he had defenders off-balance. It sounds easy when you have all of that and Ki-Jana sure made it look easy. The Penn State offense didn't ask him to do much in the realm of catching passes out of the backfield, but he did enough to show he could be a receiver if needed.

This individual highlight video is a bit longer than most, but sit back and just enjoy!
