• Mechanical keyboards come with their own vocabulary and it's always helpful to know esp. if you're looking to invest money in a nice one for yourself :)
I'd recommend doing some reading from Keyboard University (https://keyboard.university/) to start

Very basic terminology, defined by not an expert:
[X]% - a keyboard layout (how many keys a keyboard has); ex. 60% = 61-key keyboard, 80% = TKL (tenkeyless), 87-keys, 100% = full-size, 104-keys (# of keys may vary slightly even within these common layouts)
switches - the things that make the click or clack sound underneath a key (basically what you press to register a keystroke)
hot-swap - a keyboard that allows you to swap the switches out without de-soldering them
