There was chaos in the lands as many peoples struggled to find a path to follow next. It was during this time that many of the gods chose avatars to represent them in the land of Aegalion. These beings came to be known as the Demigods; beings imbued with as much power of the gods as could be mustered. Many of these beings searched the planes to claim for themselves a Thread of the Fabric of Reality, and it is unknown how many were successful, though there were some who were successful and spoke of it to the people of Aegalion.

It was here that the people began to divide themselves into the current factions of the world, claiming lands for their own. The Demigods were involved in most all of these splits, some of them serving as the rulers of the factions, while some served merely as viziers, pushing for the advancements of the people they walked alongside.

This way of life has transpired for the past thousand years. There have been many battles and wars between many of the factions and there have been many advancements in magic as well as technology in a number of the factions. It is unknown what the future holds, but that is for us to find out together, is it not?
