The drag link on this Craftsman YT 4000 (24HP 46" deck) mower is very poorly designed. The 360 ball joint on the front that attaches to the triangular steering bracket that goes to the wheel strips out rather easily. The good news is that the replacement process isn't too bad. Just be sure you don't make the same mistake I did and assume your ratchet can't fit up into the frame to take the old broken part off and reinstall the new one. You in fact CAN fit a ratchet in the frame to fix it. Make a mental note of that for yourself before starting.
