A new, weird, diagnostic tool that came with no directions? What could go wrong?

Amazon invited me into the Amazon Vine program which is an invitation-only program for people to review items sold through Amazon. The downside is a bunch of housewives order things in and then write, "My husband says this thingy is awesome," thereby distorting the ratings and this will ultimately hurt Amazon and the things they sell long term if the reviews are not accurate.
