Former chancellor Jeremy Hunt has hit back at his successor Rachel Reeves and said she had privileged access to Treasury civil servants from January and could have discovered the £20bn "black hole" which has "magically emerged" since then.
He added: "If you're in charge of the economy, it's time to stop trash talking it. She should stop playing politics with Britain's reputation and get on with running the economy."
