Thanx, if you leave a like or a comment on the video The Queers - Boobarella (Grow Up - LP, 1990).
Also thanx when you add the video to any playlist. ;-)

The first Queers LP, recorded in 1990. All the songs come from various sessions recorded between 1986 and 1988 and so there are several different musicians backing Queers frontman Joe King. Drummer Hugh O'Neill and guitarist J.J. Rassler were King's most frequent cohorts. 4 different bass players (including King, himself) have been credited with playing at various sessions and King later admitted that he does not know who played on which tracks. He is also not sure where guitarist Sean Rowley contributed.

The first issue was released on Shakin' Street Records. The number pressed is unknown but it is believed to be under 1000 copies. Shakin' Street went out of business shortly after the release. On this release, the band is credited as King, O'Neill, Rowley, and Greg Urbatis, with Magoo Pirhana, Jeebs Pirhana, J.J. Rassler, and Kevin Kecy credited as session players.

That same year, following Shakin' Street's demise, the band decided to re-press the record themselves. Oddly, they did it using the Shakin' Street name, although they used a different matrix #. However, they were unable to pay the pressing plant for the costs and the release was scrapped, although it is believed that 160 "promo" copies were released.

In 1994, the album was reissued by Lookout! Records. This version has altered cover art and was remixed by Ben Weasel. It credits the then-current Queers line up of King, O'Neill, and B-Face but also makes mention of the players who originally appeared on the record, with the exception of Sean Rowley and Kevin Kecy.

In 2007, the album was reissued again on Asian Man Records. This version also contains altered cover art and a new mix courtesy of Joe King, JJ Rassler, and Mass Giorgini. It also boasts different versions of "Rambo Rat" and "Junk Freak". Per King's liner notes, these were the versions Rassler and O'Neill wanted on the original release but King used different versions because, at the time, he was fighting with Rassler. It also contains a mid-1980s demo as bonus tracks.

All versions have different running orders, although all open with "Squid Omelet".

The Queers - I'll Be True To You (Lyrics)

I'll be true to you yes I will
I'll be true to you yes I will
I won't look twice
When the other girls go by
I'll be true to you yes I will

Somehow this time it's all so clear to me
The way to go is easy to see
My heart is sure you're the girl I've waited for
I'll be true to you yes I will

Yes I will

I used to be the kind
Who said that every girl's the same
And love was just a game for having fun
But when I looked at you
I knew that I was wrong
And that I really could belong to only one

I'll be true to you yes I will
Every dream that you have I'll fulfil
I never promised this to any girl before
but I'll be true to you yes I will

I never promised this
to any girl before
but I'll be true to you yes I will

Yes I will Yes I will
Yes I will Oh yes I will
