Binoyugan It is an Ilocano term meaning “celebration of abundance”, an Ilocano dance where women balance clay pots on their heads and roll from side to side while keeping the pots balanced. It also describes the Binoyugan Festival, a celebration of the arrival of the Ilocano-speaking Maitum community to Sarangani Province, which prominently features the traditional Binoyugan dance. Additionally, it provides context on the term "Maitum", referring to black stones in the Saub River and the local folklore behind their color, as well as the Maitum people being known internationally for ancient human-shaped pottery burial jars found in Ayub Cave.
