◆ barley tree introduction
The barley tree is a perennial plant of the Bodhi family and is native to India.
It is said that Shakyamuni attained enlightenment under this tree.
Flowers in May-June and bears fruit after the flowers fade.
Fruits are 6 to 8 mm in oval shape and ripen red in June to July.
Fruits are soaked in sake or fermented
Flower language: conjugal love
Scientific name: Elaeagnus umbellata
