Here we go! Santa Cruz de Mompox, is located in the Bolivar department of Colombia, about 270KM from the Caribbean Coast of Colombia. I recently visited the nearly 500 year old town for the once a year Mompox Jazz Festival held in Sep/Oct. It was my second trip to Mompox, I knew it was a place I would visit again. The heat that submits you to surrender to a pace of life that prioritizes doing nothing over anything else. When I think of the towns that inspired Gabriel Garcia Marquez to birth the magical realism genre, it is Mompox that comes to my mind first. The town demands a stunning representation, so I did my best to share the vibes of Mompox.

It is a very isolated town, located in the middle of humid wetlands. This isolation has preserved its charm for centuries.
