In this video, I demystify how to remove and replace the upper clutch cable on the newer Softail Harleys, like the Street Bob FXBB. The two-piece clutch cable that Harley-Davidson introduced with the 2018 Softail bikes is easy to use, but removing and reinstalling the upper clutch cable can be a little challenging until you get the hang of it. The two-piece clutch cable makes lever free-play adjustments a snap, and it also makes bar changes a breeze since it is so easy to swap in shorter or longer upper clutch cables. I had to replace this upper clutch cable on my 2019 Softail Street Bob FXBB when I added the 17" ape hangers (video link below).
