A trip to the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides islands of Scotland over the summer, which probably have some of the nicest beaches and clearest waters I've seen (and apparently has one of the Queens favourite beaches in the UK).


During our stay, we also took a day trip by boat to the small island of Little Bernera (which is separated from the mainland by just a 30m channel), which was home to my great great great grandmother. One of the last residents on the now uninhabited island, and think we found the remains of her home.
