I backed the Kickstarter and was very happy to do so as I felt the figure looked awesome and came with a ton of accessories… or so I thought… Now McFarlane removed his first announcement video and has locked all the accessories behind $250K pay wall intervals when the full figure himself was just $100k which was passed on the same day by $1.25 million… 12X what he was asking for the base figure. There are 14 extra accessories that he showed off with original presentation which means he is expecting the fans to now pony up $3.5 million for those “free extras”.

All I will say is that I do hope they make and pass their goal as I think the figure looks amazing and the artisans deserve the recognition for their wonderful work, but if they do not get there I feel like it will be because McFarlane really tarnished what started off as an amazing kickstarter with this greedy move. For $83 which is the real cost of the figure when you factor in shipping, it needs to come with all 14 of the accessories shown off because companies like Maestro Union can produce $80 figures with over 30 different painted and finished accessories without a kickstarter. And if I have to choose at that price point it will always be the company that gives me the most value for my money.
