The rat hole is the on-foot exit from james street station in liverpool. It comes out on water street. Takes about two mins to walk it and it's in need of tlc. It's called the rat hole as it's literally a tunnel going up to the surface. At the top of the rat hole there are cash desks but they're rarely manned. James Street station closes the rat hole I think at about 19:00h.
