Our hometown campground! Well, one of several hometown campgrounds but we are sharing a recent trip to Silver Springs State Park campground today. This is a popular campground so if you are interested in visiting here, book early! Sometimes you can find open spots by checking Reserve America often. That's how we were able to get in for a couple of days.
Silver Springs State Park is located in Silver Springs, Florida. It is convenient to get to from Interstate 75. Additionally, it is centrally located in central Florida. The Ocala National Forest, Florida Trail, many lakes and rivers can be found nearby providing days of recreation. The city of Ocala is close with anything you might want such as restaurants, grocery stores, clothing stores...

1. Large, spacious sites
2. Beautiful trails
3. Recreation: Hiking, biking, kayaking
4. Wildlife
5. Close to town
6. Close to many other recreational opportunities
7. The crystal, clear springs
8. Some sites have sewer
What we don't love about Silver Springs State Park:
1. Difficult to find a site here, books up as soon as the booking window opens
Really, it has always been that way even 20 years ago when we had our travel trailer. It is just a great park, one of our favorites! If you are in the area, check it out. Even if you don't camp there, check out beautiful Silver Springs State Park attraction area.
